BBNBA: Isaiah Jackson notches a 20 point-13 rebound double-double
In case you forgot, Isaiah Jackson used to play for the University of Kentucky. He was part of the miserable 2020-21 team that many folks around Big Blue Nation have understandably erased from their memory banks. However, on the eve of the current much more fun Wildcats playing North Carolina, Jackson had one of the best games of his NBA career.
For what it’s worth, Jackson had three points and five rebounds against the Tar Heels back in December of 2020 in the ‘Cats 76-63 loss in a game where Armondo Bacot also played. Jackson did slightly better than that on Friday in the NBA, when he scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
The Pacers lost to the woeful Wizards 137-123, but Jackson made the most of his 20 minutes on the court. His 20 points and 13 rebounds were both season highs. And he did so wearing a Batman mask.

The game also saw Oscar Tsheibwe score his first official field goal as a professional basketball player, having fought Giannis Antetokounmpo for the game ball from his monumental free throw. #TeamOscar
Other BBNBA Notes:
- Devin Booker scored 28 points, but the Suns lost yet again, this time to the New York Knicks behind Jalen Brunson’s 50-burger. It might be time to consider the fact the Phoenix Suns might not be a very good basketball team.
- Julius Randle had 23 points, eight rebounds, and six assists in the aforementioned Knicks win, while Immanuel Quickley chipped in 10.
- The San Antonio Spurs finally got into the win column with a victory over the Anthony Davis-less Lakers. Keldon Johnson played a big part with 17 points and six assists.
