BBNBA: Jamal Murray and the Nuggets seize Game 4 of the NBA Finals
For those wondering where the wildfires taking place up north started, they actually began from how hot Canada’s favorite son, Jamal Murray, has been in the NBA playoffs. He did America a favor last night and cooled off a bit to let the smoke dissipate, but remained warm enough to help the Denver Nuggets win Game 4 by a score of 108-95 and take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
It also could have been the fact he was playing with a pretty disgusting blister on his hand, an injury suffered during Game 3 after he dove on the floor, a contest coincidently where he joined Steph Curry and Jerry West as the only guards with a 30-point triple-double in a Finals game.
Murray finished Game 4 with 15 points, 12 assists, and three rebounds, which makes him the only player in NBA history to record at least 10 assists in their first four Finals games. He also stepped up big when needed. Mega-ultra-can’t-believe-he’s-a-real-human, Nikola Jokic, picked up his 5th foul early in the 4th quarter, so it was up to Murray to lead Denver during a crucial stretch with the Joker on the bench as the Heat looked to close the double-digit deficit.
He did just that. Murray hit a big 3 and spearheaded multiple plays that led to baskets and keep Miami at arm’s length until Jokic could return and close things out for Denver.

Once again, Bam Adebayo did all he could for the Heat. He finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and steal, and a block which came by way of some ‘Cat-on-‘Cat crime in the 3rd quarter with an unbelievable chase-down on Jamal Murray. The Heat have been resilient all playoffs long but without Jimmy Butler playing like Superman, the Joker and crew are simply too much to handle.
Tyler Herro remained out with a broken hand and at this point, it is unlikely we will see him for the rest of the series, which might not last much longer. The Nuggets look to close it out and win the championship in front of their home crowd on Monday.
