BBNBA: Jamal Murray has explosive quarter, Jarred Vanderbilt does it all

There’s no NBA like BBNBA.
In four NBA games on Thursday night, three former ‘Cats saw action. While not everybody played at the same level, they all showed their Wildcat stripes. Even on the slowest night of the NBA, there’s always BBNBA action.
Jamal Murray lights up Clippers in blowout win
The Denver Nuggets rag-dolled the Los Angeles Clippers in a 122-91 beating. Murray got in on the fun, dropping 18 points while shooting an impressive 7-10 from the field and 4-5 from downtown. The former All-American is shooting 37.1% from beyond the arc this season.
Murray’s most stunning moment came in the first quarter when the 6-foot-4 guard scored 13-straight points for the Nuggets. Murray capped off the red-hot run with a 3-ball from the top of the arc to put Denver ahead by 10 points. The team never looked back.
After the game, Charles Barkley gave Murray props.
“I think the [Nuggets] are the deepest team in the NBA,” Barkley said on TNT’s “Inside the NBA.” “It’s going to come down to Jamal Murray.”
Not every once-Wildcat played such a pivotal part in the contest. BJ Boston added little to the Clippers’ effort, recording four points and four assists. Boston failed to convert on a single field goal. This issue isn’t new. Boston is connecting on just 34.8% of his field-goal attempts this season.

Jarred Vanderbilt stuffs the stat sheet
Down south, Jarred Vanderbilt was instrumental in the Utah Jazz’s 131-114 triumph over the Houston Rockets. In the win, Vanderbilt recorded five points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. The Renaissance man has found a home in Utah and is averaging career highs in both points and assists.
Along with his impressive figures, Vanderbilt found time to mix in a highlight play.
Unfortunately, Houston Rockets rookie TyTy Washington Jr. didn’t have a chance to do the same. Rockets head coach Stephen Silas did not play Washington. The 6-foot-3 guard has only played in 12 of the Rockets’ 39 contests.
