The Kentucky/Florida baseball battle wasn’t the only sports series going on over the weekend that has been straight-up drunk. The Western Conference Semifinals matchup between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves has been equally unpredictable. If it were a person, it would have stumbled and crashed into a public water fountain at this point. On Sunday, the Nuggets, behind 19 points from Jamal Murray, took Game 4 to even the series at 2-2.

Murray played well for the defending champs throughout the game, but his half-court buzzer-beater to end the half put the exclamation point on an absolutely wild sequence that swung momentum into Denver’s direction for good.

The Wolves were down 10 with the ball in what should have been the final possession of the first half. Anthony Edwards, who scored 45 points and was magnificent all day, turned the ball over and the Nuggets got a breakaway dunk out of the exchange. On the ensuing inbounds, Jamal Murray intercepted a desperation heave just over half-court with 1.6 seconds left and launched the ball 55 feet as the buzzer sounded. Splash. Nothing but net.

The play happened right in front of the the TV announcers, so Murray did his best Patrick Sparks impression, interacting with Kevin Harlan who was losing his mind on the broadcast.

The Timberwolves could have gone into the half with a manageable seven or eight-point deficit, but the Nuggets’ flurry of heroics turned it into a 15-point halftime lead, one that the Wolves never recovered from, ultimately losing 115-107.

Karl-Anthony Towns struggled for Minnesota, shooting just 1-10 in the first half and complaining a lot to the officials throughout. KAT finished with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double, but he would be the first to tell you he did not play his best.

In a crazy series where the home team has yet to win a game, the teams will travel back to Denver for Game 5.

Isaiah Jackson scores double-figures as the Pacers cruise past the Knicks in Game 4

There have been a lot of blowouts in this year’s rendition of the NBA Playoffs. Just like the Murray and Towns series where both teams have either dominated or struggled, the Pacers and Knicks seemingly act like different teams every time they take the court.

In Sunday’s Game 4, the Indiana Pacers were the dominant squad, defeating the Knicks 121-89 to even the Eastern Conference Semifinals up at 2-2. Former Wildcat Isaiah Jackson got his most playing time all postseason and took advantage. Jackson finished with 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals in 19 minutes on the court.

The series will now shift back to New York as teams will vie for a critical win in Game 5 at the Mecca.
