BBNBA: Julius Randle Erupts for 41 Points in Knicks Loss to Bucks
Fresh off of being named the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday, Julius Randle poured in his best game of the season in New York’s 146-122 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.
Randle was an efficiency machine inside MSG, as the former All-American scored 41 points on 14/19 shooting (2/2 3PT). Along with his 41 points scored, Randle grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists. Randle’s 41 points tied for the ninth-most in a game in his career. His career high is 57 points, which he scored back on March 20 of this year.
Randle, who started the 2023-24 season by failing to score 20 points in the first six games of the season, has now dropped at least 20 points in 13 of New York’s last 14 games. Along with his points, his field goal percentage has skyrocketed as well. After shooting a brutal 27.1% through New York’s first six games, Randle is shooting nearly 50% over the past 14 games.
The 6-foot-8 forward is looking more and more like his All-Star self as the season progresses.
Where Julius Randle had a big game, Immanuel Quickley had a performance he’d like to “quickly” forget. IQ scored just seven points on 1/7 shooting.
With the loss, the Knicks were eliminated from the NBA In-Season Tournament. Randle and Quickley will not be heading to Las Vegas.
Davis Outduels Booker as Lakers Advance to Semifinals
Anthony Davis‘ Lakers edged Devin Booker‘s Suns 106-103 on Tuesday night to secure a spot in the Semifinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament.

Davis, who scored 20 points in the first half, finished with 27 points on a not-so-efficient 10-26 shooting. However, he secured his 18th double-double of the season, bringing down 15 rebounds along with his 27 points. Jarred Vanderbilt played sparingly, contributing just one point on 0-2 shooting.
Charles Barkley continued to throw shots at Davis at halftime, saying “A few years ago, I said Anthony Davis was the best player in the world. I don’t think that anymore, he’s too inconsistent.”
Booker didn’t have the greatest shooting night either, as the 6-6 guard made just six of his 16 attempted shots for 21 points.
With LA’s victory, the Lakers advance to the Semifinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament, where they will face the New Orleans Pelicans in Las Vegas.
