BBNBA: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scores 40 in Thunder's win over Timberwolves
2024 has been a bit of a wild year, to say the least, and “wild” is the perfect way to describe Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his game.
Gilgeous-Alexander was once Quade Green’s backup at Kentucky, and now, he’s putting up MVP-worthy performances on one of the NBA’s top teams. Against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, the former Cat scored 40 points on 15-23 (3-5 3PT) shooting to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 113-105 win.
Gilgeous-Alexander has now scored at least 40 points in three of the Thunder’s last five games. This marks his fourth 40-point game of the season and the 17th such game in his seven-year NBA career.
