BBNBA: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stands out in another loss for OKC
I know we all have Auburn on our minds right now, so I’ll try to keep this one concise. Let’s go.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander puts up 29 in a route
Sam Presti better find something to do with his disaster bunker full of first-round picks. Every day that the Thunder drop further and further down the standings are days that they are just exploiting the talent of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
In the 121-98 drubbing the Thunder received, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 29 points on 10-23 shooting and 8-9 from the free-throw line. He added five rebounds and six blocks, along with a block and a steal each. Only two other Thunder players scored more in double digits, one of whom could still pass for a high-schooler.
The opponent bench wasn’t short of Wildcats putting up numbers either. P.J. Washington dropped 20 points on 6-10 shooting for the Charlotte Hornets, all of them coming from deep in 27 minutes of action. That’s after missing his previous 16 attempts over the past few games.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander may or may not have been trying to yell out a desperate cry for his next destination. I’ll let you all decide that one.

Bam Adebayo comfortably sliding back into the lineup
Yesterday was a mini step-back for a surging Miami Heat team that sits third in the conference currently. It’s not all negative though, as Bam Adebayo had another successful game while he works his way back into peak playing form.
Last night’s 21 point performance from Adebayo was the highest output he’s had since his recent return to the lineup. He finished with six rebounds, five assists and a block to help complement his scoring in the 110-108 loss to Atlanta.
It’ll admittedly be a while until Bam is at his best again, but we should all be jubilant that he’s back on the court.
