BBNBA: Tyler Herro, De'Aaron Fox battle down in Sacramento
Tyler Herro and De’Aaron Fox decided to make it a Kentucky show last night at the Golden 1 Center, but they were far from the only ‘Cats leading their teams last night. Let’s take a look
De’Aaron Fox and the Kings outlast Miami
Last night was big for De’Aaron. While still putting up his regular stats, Fox has had his worst shooting numbers since his rookie year this season. He also had that game not too long ago where he missed free throws at the end to cost the game. Yesterday was some sort of redemption at least.
De’Aaron Fox finished the 115-113 win over Miami with a line of 24 points, six rebounds and six assists on 5/12 from the field. He was 14/15 from the free-throw line, including a couple with six seconds left to help seal the win.
On the other side, Tyler Herro had a game-high 22 points for the Heat. It wasn’t a great shooting night for the guard as he finished on a line of 8-23 from the field with a 4-11 mark from deep. Despite the shooting struggles from everyone on the Heat not named Omer Yurtseven, Jimmy Butler still probably should’ve sent this game into overtime.
Devin Booker goes for 24 as Suns roll
Last night was just another one on the schedule for Phoenix as they went into Charlotte and came out with a 133-99 blowout over the Hornets. The Suns had seven guys score double figures last night but Devin Booker led Phoenix with 24 points.

The All-Star guard is well on his way to making another appearance in the midseason game. Booker is up to 23.6 points per game on 41.7% from deep, the highest of his career if he can keep it up all season. Honestly, he should be an All-Star for this exchange alone.
Malik Monk pours in 22, Lakers win
The Lakers picked up the 108-103 win last night against a KAT-less Minnesota team to move back to .500 on the season. LeBron is currently on one of his ridiculous stat-stuffing tears right now and it’s been getting most of the attention for the still-middling Los Angeles team. Underappreciated though last night was the play of Malik Monk.
Monk dropped 22 on 8-14 shooting from the field, 4-9 from deep, while getting 33 minutes and another start for Frank Vogel. Ever since Anthony Davis went out, Malik has a legitimate claim to being the second-best player on the Lakers roster right now.
Monk is a serious contributor to Los Angeles, and that may just end up being a good thing for both.
