BBNBA: Tyrese Maxey's 45 points leads Sixers to win over Pacers
The Philadelphia 76ers are winless no more, thanks to rising superstar Tyrese Maxey. Philly held off the Indiana Pacers 118-114 in overtime Sunday night thanks to Maxey’s 45 points.
After shooting just 16-54 (29.6%) from the field over Philly’s first two games of the season (both losses), Maxey made 14 of his 32 (43.8%) shots Sunday night. The fifth year guard also totaled four rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in the win.
Sunday’s game marked Maxey’s sixth 40+ point game of his career, which ranks ninth most in Philadelphia 76ers franchise history. His 86 field goal attempts are the most through three games in 76ers franchise history.
Maxey’s 45 points scored are the most in a game in the NBA so far this season. He has been the Sixers’ number one option through three games, as superstars Joel Embiid and Paul George have yet to suit up due to injury.
With the Sixers playing just over three hours away from Lexington in Indianapolis, you just knew the BBN would show up in full force to support their guys. Former Cat Isaiah Jackson played just five minutes for the Pacers, scoring two points and nabbing one rebound.

Following Sunday night’s performance (three blocks), the Toronto, Ontario native passed franchise legend Russell Westbrook on the OKC Thunder All-Time Blocks list (254).

Cason Wallace played 23 minutes off the bench, contributing five points (2-6 shooting) and four rebounds.
