BBNBA: Tyrese Maxey Mania
Welcome back to BBNBA, where the kids are all right.
The Tyrese Maxey Show
Monday night, Tyrese Maxey put on a show for the Philadelphia crowd in their win over Miami.
This was an unprecedented win for the 76ers, down both James Harden and Joel Embiid and facing the Eastern Conference leaders in the Miami Heat. The 28-point performance was a game-high for Maxey. But scoring wasn’t the only thing Maxey did well against the Heat, dominating with an absolutely nasty block against Miami’s Caleb Martin.
Maxey was met with chants of his name from the Philly crowd. Of his 28-points, 13 came in the fourth quarter with the game on the line, including nine in a row to clinch the win.
You’re a bad man, Tyrese Maxey.
Too hot to handle for the Heat
The Miami Heat struggled against the wounded 76ers last night despite solid performances from both former ‘Cats.
Heat center Bam Adebayo had 22 points against Philly alongside nine rebounds for the Eastern Conference leaders. Sixth Man of the Year candidate Tyler Herro also added 10-points to the mix, but neither effort was enough for the Heat as they gained only their fifth loss in their last 20 games.

Leading ‘Cats in losses
Besides Maxey’s top-scoring night, former ‘Cats Karl Anthony-Towns and Shai-Gilgeous Alexander both had solid performances.
KAT scored 22 points in the Timberwolves’ close loss to Dallas, adding eight points and three assists on an 8-17 shooting clip. He currently ranks 13th in the league in points after an unbelievable 60-point performance a week ago against the Spurs. The performance set a single-game franchise record and a career-high for Towns.
Gilgeous-Alexander had a whopping 31 points in the Thunder’s loss to Boston. SGA has had 30 points or more in his last nine of 11 games this season, cementing him as a rising star to watch.
