After two weeks straight with goose eggs in the touchdown column, Will Levis threw for two scores on Sunday in the Tennessee Titans’ loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags dominated the Titans all day, though if you were to just look at Levis’s stat line, you wouldn’t know it.

The former Wildcat completed 13 of his 17 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns. However, 43 of those yards and one of those touchdowns came on a trick play late in the third quarter with the Titans down 27-0. Levis lined up at wide receiver but got the ball on a flea-flicker-type toss-back and threw a bomb to DeAndre Hopkins on a 50-yard dot.

Though his PFF rating did not reflect a great game, Levis finished with an impressive quarterback rating of 143.8. His biggest hurdle (sometimes literally) is his offensive line. Levis was under pressure on 40 percent of his dropbacks, making it difficult for him to attempt too many throws downfield. In fact, five of his 13 completions came on passes behind the line of scrimmage.

The Jaguars sacked Will Levis twice, and one of those came at the hands of former ‘Cat Josh Allen. Allen now has 9.5 sacks on the year, which ties him for 8th in the NFL.

The Titans have a lot of work to do in order to improve, but they seem to have found their quarterback in Will Levis.

Chris Rodriguez and Wan’Dale Robinson battled it out

Two former Kentucky teammates, Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Wan’Dale Robinson faced off against each other when the Washington Commanders took on the New York Giants on Sunday. Afterward, they did a customary jersey shop and produced a fairly awesome photo.

As for the game, each made an impact on the field. With backup running back Antonio Gibson out for the Commanders due to a toe injury, Chris Rodriguez took his place on the depth chart.

C-Rod took advantage of his time on the field, rushing the ball six times for 43 yards. He also caught a pass for five yards. Though he did lose a fumble, Rodriguez looked explosive and punishing on each carry. More than half his total yards came after contact (24) and he ripped off runs of 16 yards and nine yards and converted three first downs.

On the opposite side of the ball, Wan’Dale Robinson hauled in three of his four targets for 35 yards. However, the highlight that kept making its way around Twitter X was his tremendous run block that opened up a huge hole for Saquan Barkley and led to a big gain. To be fair, he had quite a bit of practice providing the same service for Chris Rodriguez during their time in Lexington.

Brandin Echols converts on a fake punt

Brandin Echols had more receiving yards than all Jets wide receivers on Sunday. If you are wondering how that is possible considering Echols is a cornerback, I don’t blame you.

Echols caught a pass from punter Thomas Morstead on a 4th and 2 from their own 24-yard line late in the 2nd quarter with New York down 16-0. The play was good for 18 yards, which exceeded the yardage for every wide receiver combined. Garrett Wilson had just two catches for eight yards while Xavier Gipson had one reception for seven yards. Every other pass went to either a running back or tight end, as the Jets looked wretched on offense, mustering only six total points on the day.

Echols also had a great game on defense, you know–where he typically plays, as well. He got the start and was graded out as the best corner on the team. The former Kentucky defenseman has played primarily special teams for the Jets this season, but games like this will likely earn him a lot more playing time. Maybe they’ll even throw him in the mix at wide receiver; he couldn’t be much worse than the ones they have now (with Randall Cobb out due to injury, of course).
