BBNFL Week 12: Will Levis leads Titans to win in very Will Levis game
Will Levis’s first season as captain and leader of the Tennessee Titans has been all over the place. There have been 98-yard touchdown passes, embarrassing interceptions, impressive runs, and even a couple-week shoulder ailment-induced hiatus. In Week 12, Titan fans got the full Will Levis experience, but fortunately for them, it led to a Tennessee win.
The game took place in the Titans’ former hometown of Houston and Levis started off strong. The former Kentucky quarterback threw a 38-yard bomb to an open receiver down the field early and Tennessee took a three-point lead into halftime.
But then, disaster struck via another lowlight from the man who eats banana peels.
Levis threw a pick-six late in the third quarter to give up the lead, and it looked like Tennessee was doomed to yet another loss at the hands of their would-be franchise player. But Levis regrouped on the sideline, sprayed on some mayonnaise-flavored cologne, and got back to work.

In the 4th quarter, Levis threw a 70-yard catch-and-run pass to Chig Okonkwo to put the Titans back on top, this time for good. The Titans moved to 3-8 on the season after the win, out of playoff contention but injected with some hope for the future.
Levis finished 18/24 through the air for 270 yards to go along with his two touchdowns and interception. He also had a QB rating of 97.4, the best in Week 12 among all four of the quarterbacks drafted 2023 draft class. In the last three games, Levis is 53-78 for 748 yards, five TDs, two interceptions, and a 109.4 passer rating. No one is going to mistake those numbers for Peyton Manning, but they ain’t bad.
After the win, Levis said, “It feels amazing…this is for the whole organization.”
Other BBNFL Notes:
- Za’Darius Smith had another strong game for Detroit. In just his second game with the Lions, the veteran pass rusher had a team-high five QB pressures graded out best among all of his defensive teammates in another win for the league’s best team. Josh Paschal also had two QB pressures on the day along with two tackles.
- In the first game of the post-Daniel Jones era in New York, Wan’Dale Robinson caught all five of his targets from Tommy DeVito for 47 yards. Regardless of who is at quarterback, the Giants still stink, as former Kentucky OC Liam Coen’s offense had a field day, running up the score for Tampa Bay and securing a 30-7 win. Stud rookie, Dru Phillips, did what he could, coming away with four tackles in the loss.
