Multiple Big 12 programs are pursuing Kentucky commit Ben Duncum

June is arguably the biggest month in college football recruiting but the work does not finish in the summer when players start committing after official visits. Kentucky is now facing some legitimate competition for a prospect who was unranked when he committed to the Cats on June 25.
Auburn sent an official offer to Austin (Texas) Lake Travis defensive lineman Ben Duncum last week. The Tigers are not the only power conference program still pursuing the Kentucky commit. A pair of Big 12 programs are making a push for the three-star prospect.
Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman reports that Baylor and Colorado are each chasing after Ben Duncum.
“After committing, the main school that has really tried has been Colorado,” Duncum told Rivals. “They really want me to come on an official visit during during the season. I have been on multiple calls with the coaching staff during fall camp.”
The Bears have also been in the mix and are expected to receive a game day visit from Duncum at some point this season. Is a flip possible? The Lonestar State native addressed his status with Kentucky amid this latest interest from three separate power conference progams.

“My relationships are awesome at Kentucky,” Duncum. “The main reason (I committed) is the staff and love they showed my family. They really put it out for me on my visit and I fell in love with the place very fast. There is a great opportunity for me there to play.”
“I’m pretty happy where I’m at.”
Kentucky has a fight on its hands to get this commitment to signing day. Ben Duncum has become a very wanted player with the 2025 season right around corner.
