(Be)Yonce's Friday News and Views
Tuesday, September 9: Jaylen Brown, Marietta, Georgia
Brown is the #2 player in the 2015 class and will likely wait until the spring to make his decision. When spring rolls around he will make an announcement to let us know when he will make his announcement about the date of his upcoming announcement. Since next year’s roster won’t become clear until after the season is over, Brown waiting until the spring to make his choice is a plus for UK.
Thursday, September 11: Brandon Ingram, Kinston, North Carolina
Next, Cal will head to Tarheel country to see Brandon Ingram, considered the 4th best small forward in the 2015 class. Ingram recently narrowed his list to six: Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, and NC State. Duke and UNC have long been considered the favorites for Ingram, but never count Calipari out. Ingram will see Roy Williams on Tuesday, Bill Self on Wednesday, then Cal, followed by UCLA assistant David Grace on Friday.Saturday, September 13: Stephen Zimmerman, Las Vegas, Nevada
Finally, Cal will head to Vegas to check in on Stephen Zimmerman, considered the third best center in the 2015 class. His family will host UNLV on Tuesday (which is also Stephen’s birthday so you should TOTALLY tweet him), Arizona on Wednesday, North Carolina on Thursday, Cal on Saturday, Kansas on September 15, UCLA on September 16, and Indiana on September 18.
All three recruits will visit UK for Big Blue Madness. I think you've heard of it.
-Adam Zagoria reported that Thon Maker, currently the #1 player in the class of 2016, and his brother may be considering a move to Athlete Institute in Canada or Hopewell Academy in North Carolina. The ever changing crystal ball favors Kansas for his services whenever he decides to make the decision, but I wouldn't count Cal out. Would you?

-TODAY'S "Is Coach K a windowlicker?" STATUS REPORT
Coach K's windowlicker status is a solid "MAYBE" today because he said some really nice things about Anthony Davis. However, it's not all that difficult to say nice things about Anthony Davis and Coach K is still the head coach at Duke.

Below is his quote to The Sporting News:
“Anthony is one of the best players in the world,” coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “We saw that developing in the (2012) Olympics, and I think him being around all those great players helped him. Monty has done a terrific job coaching him. He’s not only coached him, but he’s developed a great relationship with him.”

As we conclude this edition of BeYonce's News and Views, be forewarned should you find yourself Drunk in Love at the tailgate on Saturday. She'll probably want you to put a ring on it.
