Let the countdown to Big Blue Madness begin! The unofficial tipoff to Kentucky basketball season is scheduled for October 11 inside Rupp Arena starting at 7 PM ET — but you already knew that.

What you didn’t know is how to be a part of the action on the day new head coaches Mark Pope and Kenny Brooks are formally introduced to Big Blue Nation (or any of the details surrounding the “next level” event Pope says will include “some things in the works that have never been seen in college basketball before”).

Now you do, as UK Athletics has finally released ticket information, among other updates on what fans can expect at Rupp Arena just 18 days from now.

The biggest need-to-know? There will unfortunately be no in-person ticket distribution (and thus, no campout) due to the ongoing renovation of Historic Memorial Coliseum. Instead, tickets for Big Blue Madness, presented by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Bluegrass, will be distributed exclusively online at Ticketmaster.com and through the Ticketmaster app starting at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 27.

And as always, tickets will be free again this year, with all online orders including a minimal service fee attached. All patrons require a ticket for Big Blue Madness, regardless of age, with a limit of four tickets per household. All duplicate orders will automatically be canceled. Due to high demand, UK Athletics cannot guarantee that all fans will receive tickets.

A limited number of tickets will be held for UK students, and information will be posted online at UKStudentTix.com once it is finalized. With limited quantities available, students may wish to consider ordering through the public distribution on Sept. 27.

Big Blue Madness Presented by RMHC of the Bluegrass will formally introduce both Pope and Brooks and their inaugural Kentucky men’s and women’s basketball teams, along with additional contessts, practice drills and more to officially begin the 2024-25 basketball season. This will be the 19th time Madness has been held in Rupp Arena.

We’ll see you there, BBN.
