davisbookerwallkat As we look forward to today's SEC Championship game, we have to highlight some of our former Wildcats for an awesome night in the NBA. Let's start off in New Orleans with Anthony Davis, who celebrated his 24th birthday yesterday. Not only did Davis celebrate with a birthday cake, but he also put up a huge performance against the Charlotte Hornets. Davis finished the night with 46 points and 21 rebounds, leading the Pelicans to a 125-122 victory over the Hornets. According to NOLA.com, Davis joins only Chris Webber & Shaquille O'Neal as players to record 46 points & 21 rebounds in an NBA game. Shaq was able to do it twice. John Wall had an impressive game for the Washington Wizards. Playing on the road, Wall led the Wizards to an overtime win in Portland with 39 points & 9 assists. With 16 seconds left in overtime, the Wizards down by one, Wall came up with a huge block on Damian Lillard. This allowed Washington to rebound and score the game-winning basket. Wall's Wizards defeated the Trailblazers 125-124. In Minnesota, Karl Anthony Towns put up some impressive numbers as well. KAT would end his night with a double-double, recording 35 points & 14 rebounds. Unfortunately for his Timberwolves, they were defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks 102-95. Heading out west to Phoenix, Devin Booker also had a huge performance, as he hit yet another game-winning buzzer beater. Last night, it was the Dallas Mavericks who fell victim to Booker's late game heroics. Not only did Booker hit the game-winner, but he also led the Suns with 36 points and 5 rebounds. In case you missed it, here's his buzzer-beater: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpEowcJ2YuI You can't cap off a 36 point performance any better than that. Devin Booker continues to hit these clutch shots. Great games from members of the #BBN. Go Cats!
