Blue defeats White 67-66 in Mark Pope's first Blue-White Scrimmage

Mark Pope‘s first exhibition game is in the books, Blue defeating White by a final score of 67-66 in Kentucky‘s Blue-White Preseason Event inside Historic Memorial Coliseum. An NIL event presented by Club Blue — the first of its kind in Lexington — ended with Travis Perry hitting a game-winning free throw to close out the Elam Ending.

As a team, the Blue squad shot 43.8 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from the field on 21-48 overall and 11-30 from deep. As for the White, they shot 53.1 percent overall and 31.6 percent from three, hitting 26-49 attempts and 6-19 from deep.

Andrew Carr led all scorers with 25 points on 6-11 shooting, 3-4 from three and 10-10 at the line with seven rebounds and four assists. Jaxson Robinson added 15 points, followed by Brandon Garrison with 10 points and six rebounds, Koby Brea with eight points, Travis Perry with six and Trent Noah with three to round out the Blue.

As for the White, Collin Chandler led the way with 19 points on 7-10 from the field with three assists, three rebounds and two steals, followed by Amari Williams with 15 points and six rebounds, Otega Oweh with 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals, Lamont Butler with 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and Ansley Almonor with seven points.
