Bluegrass native Travis Perry has arrived on Kentucky's campus
It’s move-in week for the Kentucky men’s basketball program. So far, half of the current 2024-25 roster has already settled into their new home at the Wildcat Coal Lodge. The likes of Kerr Kriisa, Andrew Carr, Ansley Almonor, Otega Oweh, Lamont Butler, and Brandon Garrison — all incoming transfers — have set up shop on the University of Kentucky’s campus over the last several days.
On Thursday, one of three incoming freshmen joined them. Travis Perry, who won a state championship with Lyon County just a few months ago, has also arrived in Lexington. Much like Kriisa, he brought his trusty golf clubs along with him, too (and actually used the headcovers).
“What’s up BBN, it’s Travis Perry,” The four-star point guard said. “I’m excited to get moved in, to be up here in Lexington. Let’s go, let’s get started on the assignment, let’s get (championship) number nine.“
Perry is one of two in-state products who will suit up for Kentucky during the 2024-25 season. Harlan County three-star small forward Trent Noah is the other, and he’s expected to arrive on campus this week, as well. The third and final incoming freshman (although he’s two years removed from high school) is four-star shooting guard Collin Chandler. Both Noah and Chandler will officially make Lexington home in the coming days.

The remaining three pieces to the roster — transfers Jaxson Robinson, Amari Williams, and Koby Brea — expect to arrive at UK sometime next week.
Brandon Garrison will rock No. 10
With the team slowly trickling into Lexington, part of setting up their new homes includes moving into their new locker rooms. We’ve already seen a few players post their jersey numbers for the 2024-25 season on social media.
- Kerr Krissa: #77
- Otega Oweh: #00
- Lamont Butler: #1
- Jaxson Robinson: #2
- Amari Williams: #21
Oklahoma State transfer Brandon Garrison did the same on Thursday, posting to Instagram that he’ll rock the No. 10 Kentucky jersey.
