The dynamic scoring threat has been in contact with Pope and the Wildcats remain in consideration.
Fland joins Jayden Quaintance, Karter Knox and Somto Cyril to back out of their commitments to Kentucky since Calipari’s departure. Billy Richmond has not announced his intentions while Travis Perry was in attendance for Pope’s introduction on Sunday and is expected to remain signed with the Wildcats.
Fland is the No. 19 overall prospect and top-ranked point guard in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in New York. He originally chose Kentucky over Indiana and Alabama, among others.
Now, he’s reopening things while still considering the Cats under Pope.
