A soon-to-be junior at Boyle County High School is ranked among the best football recruits in the entire country.

On Tuesday, On3 released its updated player rankings — the On300 — for the 2027 recruiting cycle. A trio of high school prospects from the Bluegrass made the list, but none were ranked higher than Boyle County tight end Seneca Driver, who checked in as the No. 62 overall recruit. Checking in at 6-foot-7, 225 pounds, Driver is considered the fifth-best tight end in his class.

Joining Driver as KY representatives in the On300 are cornerback Allen Evans (Trinity) at No. 143 and cornerback Jordan Haskins (Bryan Station) at No. 194. All three in-state products have publicly announced scholarship offers from the Kentucky Wildcats. UK’s lone commitment from the 2027 class, QB DJ Hunter, received a three-star rating and is considered the 36th-best quarterback in the cycle.

Playing alongside incoming Kentucky freshman wide-out Montavin Quisenberry, Driver had a breakout sophomore season with the Rebels in 2024. He caught 24 passes for 353 yards and seven touchdowns on offense while recording seven tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. His massive frame, coupled with outstanding athleticism (he was the regional champion in the high jump), makes him a highly impressive prospect.

Kentucky, led by associate head coach Vince Marrow, was the second school to offer Driver a scholarship back in February 2024. But once the calendar shifted over to 2025, his stock exploded with offers rolling in from the likes of Ohio State, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Penn State, Florida, Texas, and many others. Driver was most recently in Lexington in March to meet up with Marrow for a quick visit. Nearly every school in the country will want to get eyes on Danville’s own during the summer camp season.

Meanwhile, Evans and Haskins are also becoming popular targets on the recruiting trail. Evans, a 6-foot-2 defensive back, camped last summer at UK and quickly earned an offer from the Wildcats. The likes of Oklahoma, Louisville, Wisconsin, and SMU have also offered, and he visited Georgia over the weekend. Haskins, a 5-foot-11 defensive back, picked up his Kentucky scholarship in May 2024 and has since hauled in offers from the likes of Louisville, Indiana, and Illinois.

There’s some pretty good talent across the state.
