Kentucky is now recruiting the Mid-Atlantic region more often than before. One year after signing Austin Ramsey out of Philadelphia, the Wildcats are zoning in on another prospect in Pennsylvania’s biggest city.

Brandon Rehmann is a three-star recruit in the class of 2024 that is the No. 639 overall player in the On3 Industry Ranking. The prospect owns multiple Power Five scholarship offers with Maryland, Michigan State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and Tennessee all involved in this recruitment. However, two teams are emerging as leaders.

West Virginia consistently recruits the Mid-Atlantic region and is firmly in the mix for Rehmann. The Big 12 program has an official visit scheduled with the wideout for the first weekend of June. According to Brian Dohn of 247 Sports, Kentucky is currently working on getting an official visit scheduled with Rehmann.

“Big-time place, SEC country,” Rehmann said about Kentucky. “The fans are amazing. The coaches are amazing and I can’t wait to get out there for me official visit.”

The Wildcats and Mountaineers have had some recruiting battles in the past. WVU is active in the Mid-Atlantic region and have visited Kentucky high schools frequently since former UK player and offensive coordinator Neal Brown became the head coach in Morgantown. The Cats edged out WVU in the recruitment of Tommy Ziesmer last summer, but then saw Mid-Atlantic native Tomiwa Durojaiye leave Lexington for West Virginia after just one season.

Another battle is brewing for Brandon Rehmann. Don’t be surprised if Kentucky gets the three-star prospect on campus the weekend of June 9 when commit Cutter Boley and numerous other high-profile targets will be on campus.
