Brian Robinson bolstered stock at Under Armour All-America Game
Brian Robinson was a monster recruiting win for Kentucky football in the 2024 high school cycle. The blue-chip prospect had a big boy recruiting that included Michigan, Penn State, and many others. Landing the Youngstown native was a big deal.
The high four-star recruit is currently an early enrollee participating in winter workouts on campus. Before beginning his collegiate career, Robinson participated in the Under Armour All-America Game. Robinson’s performance in Orlando brought some recognition.
In the latest rankings update at 247 Sports, Brian Robinson jumped from No. 214 to No. 96 becoming the No. 2 overall player in Ohio.
Robinson owns all of the physical specs and combine testing profile we look for in a defensive lineman and was an eye-opener during the Under Armour All-America game in Orlando after sliding inside after primarily operating as an EDGE defender in high school. The new top-100 prospect’s combination of point-of-attack explosiveness and encouraging tools make him one of the higher-ceiling front-seven defenders in the final Top247 rankings.

In the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Brian Robinson is now the No. 105 overall player and the No. 5 prospect in Ohio. The front seven prospect is the highest-ranked player in Kentucky’s top-25 recruiting class.

KSR Scouting Notebook: Brian Robinson
Following the early signing period, I put together scouting reports on all of Kentucky’s signees at KSR+. What Brian Robinson showed on the all-star circuit is similar to what we saw from the blue chipper on tape.
Under Armour All-American who recorded 75 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks as a junior. Logged 49 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 6 sacks in 7 games as a senior. Great length, tremendous positional size, and a hot motor. Prototype 4-3 defensive end that is a bull in the run game and has some juice as an edge pass rusher. Plays with good pad level on a 6-5 frame. His play traits should translate immediately. A tweener for Kentucky’s 3-4 scheme.
Sources have told KSR that Robinson is up to 270 pounds. That makes him a fit as a 3-4 defensive end. Will likely call the defensive line room home in Lexington.
KSR+ Scouting Notebook
Brian Robinson was listed as an EDGE prospect as a recruit, but could be a full-time 3-4 defensive end at Kentucky. The rookie owns the physical size and play strength to potentially contribute as a true freshman. This was an excellent win for Kentucky on the recruiting trail.
