Bruce Pearl attends a cookout, tweets a picture
Bruce Pearl can be loud, he sweats a concerning amount during games and I think his team is slightly overrated heading into this season, but the guy has a sense of humor.
This afternoon he tweeted a picture of a cookout he attended with Auburn students. Pearl was fired from Tennessee in 2011 for a handful reasons but biggest being because he lied to the NCAA about hosting Aaron Craft and his family for a cookout.
Had a great time at the @AuburnEngineers Welcome Week Cookout. We have the best students at @AuburnU, including engineers Pat, Devin, Brett, Will and Cole War Eagle! pic.twitter.com/ss0cJNeN9L

Let’s hope none of those folks are high school athletes on unofficial visits, Pearl. Or perhaps Pearl could have pulled an Urban Meyer and blamed it on memory-loss medication.

It was announced earlier this afternoon that UK will travel to Auburn on Jan. 19th and Kentucky will host the Tigers on Feb. 23rd. Both games are on Saturday’s. Click here for UK’s entire schedule.
The Auburn and Kentucky games, along with Tennessee, will not only play a huge role in tournament seeding but also geography. The Louisville Region would be the best option for both Auburn and Tennessee, so the Cats will need to be seeded higher on Selection Sunday.
