Why Kentucky Will POP in 2024

Tackle is a massive need for the Kentucky football program in the 2025 high school recruiting cycle. A big step by offensive line coach Eric Wolford was made when Kentucky landed four-star prospect Darrin Strey on June 9. The program landed its second tackle commit just over two weeks later.

Coconut Creek (Fla.) Monarch tackle Bryan Auguste posted his commitment to Kentucky on Instagram on Thursday night. The three-star prospect took official visits to Syracuse, Boston College, and Kentucky in June. The South Florida native will begin his college football career in the Southeastern Conference.

Bryan Auguste completed his official visit to Kentucky from June 14-16 with teammate Samari Reed. The 6-foot-6 offensive tackle becomes the Wildcats’ 14th commit in the class of 2025 and the second prospect to join the fold on Thursday after four-star EDGE Cedric Works joined Kentucky’s class earlier in the day.

Kentucky’s tackle recruiting might not be over just yet. The Wildcats hosted three-star Jermiel Atkins on an official visit on the weekend of June 21-23 and are currently the favorites to add the Ohio prospect. After multiple seasons of inefficient tackle recruiting, Wolford has UK in better shape following the second commitment at the position this month.

Bryan Auguste helps address a big need at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility.
