BTI's Rants and Ramblings: Where are All Our Former Players? (2000-2009)

by:Bryan1301/22/14
I did these posts a couple years back and got a great response, so I thought it might be a good time to do a little updating.  As UK fans, we love our past as much as we do our present and future, and we love to keep up with our former players.  But after 10 or so years, sometimes it becomes difficult to find our where these guys have gone.  Many hang around in the state, but most do not.  So, I did a little digging and found out the whereabouts of nearly every player who played in the program from 1990 on.  Today, we will look at the players from the 2000's and then tomorrow we will move on to the 2010's. As you will see, there are a few players who I couldn't find any recent information on and if anybody knows anything about these guys, please put it in the comments section. 2000 Jamaal Magloire: Basketball Development Consultant with the Toronto Raptors Steve Masiello: Manhattan Men’s Basketball Head Coach Desmond Allison: Murdered in Columbus, Ohio in 2011 *Nate Knight: NO INFORMATION 2001 Saul Smith: Video Coordinator at Texas Tech University Todd Tackett: Potentially a Geologist for Rhino Resource Partners in Paintsville 2002 Tayshaun Prince: Playing for the Memphis Grizzlies in NBA JP Blevins: Loan Officer at Live Oak Bank in Wilmington, NC Cory Sears: Working for Sears Superb Auto Sales in Corbin *Rashaad Carruth: NO INFORMATION *Jason Parker: NO INFORMATION since 2009 *Adam Chiles: NO INFORMATION 2003 Keith Bogans: On roster for Boston Celtics but on "excused leave" Marquis Estill: Assistant basketball coach at Dunbar High School in Lexington Jules Camara: Arrested in January 2013 for Possession, but outcome unknown 2004 Gerald Fitch: Playing for the Foshan Dralions in China Erik Daniels: Playing for BC Odessa in Ukraine Antwain Barbour: Playing for Mersin in Turkey Matt Heissenbuttel: Financial Compliance Manager at Link-Belt Construction Equipment in Lexington Bernard Cote: Public Relations Manager for Exacto Communications in Montreal *Cliff Hawkins: Can't find anything past 2012 playing in Europe 2005 Chuck Hayes: Playing for the Toronto Raptors in NBA Kelenna Azubuike: Co-founder of Cellface and HOSA Resources, a real estate investment company 2006 Rajon Rondo: Playing for the Boston Celtics in NBA Patrick Sparks: Playing for Nitra in Slovakia Ravi Moss: Sales Rep at Astrazeneca in Lexington Brandon Stockton: Works at the Bowling Green Medical Center and Assistant Boy's Coach at Glasgow Shagari Alleyne: Dancing in the Bronx Preston Lemaster: Head Coach at East Ridge High School until 2012, no info since then Adam Williams: Assistant Director of Operations at Central Florida University *Rekalin Sims: NO INFORMATION beyond 2011 arrest 2007 Randolph Morris: Playing for the Beijing Ducks in China Bobby Perry: Mortgage Banker at Envoy Mortgage in Lexington Sherray Thomas: Assistant Basketball Coach at Lakeland College Lukasz Obrzut: Salesman for a Kentucky company 2008 Joe Crawford: Last Known Playing for Maccabi Rishon in Israel in 2012 Ramel Bradley: Playing for Turk Telecom in Turkey Alex Legion: Playing for Roseto in Italy Derrick Jasper: Video Coordinator at Texas Tech University Mary Coury: Strategic Analyst for TD Ameritrade in New York City Morakinyo Williams: Playing for Plymouth in Great Britain Dusty Mills: Played for Ball State, Whereabouts unknown now Kerry Benson: No Information Found 2009 Jodie Meeks: Playing for the Los Angelese Lakers in NBA Michael Porter: Serving 2-year prison sentence for sex acts with underage girl AJ Stewart: Playing for Tarvas in Estonia Kevin Galloway: Playing for Osaka Evessa in Japan Landon Slone: Played at Pikeville, Whereabouts Unknown Jared Carter: Playing for Ourense in Spain Matthew Pilgirm: Playing for Salon Vilpas in Finland Mark Halsell: Graduate Assistant at UT-Martin Adam Delph: Finished at Asbury last season, Whereabouts Unknown now Dwight Perry: Earning Masters in Sports Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University
