Bud Dupree charged with misdemeanor assault following Walgreens altercation
This Sunday the Titans got one step closer to securing the one-seed in the AFC. Unfortunately, an altercation at a Walgreens got in the way of Bud Dupree’s celebration.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a 20-year-old male Walgreens employee got into an argument with some customers. They returned with the 6-foot-4, 270-pound former Wildcat. Dupree allegedly grabbed the employee and his phone and then was involved in a physical altercation with the employee before leaving.
The male employee was allegedly filming the incident. He suffered a cut to the forehead. A female employee also scraped her knee.
There is not much video evidence of what exactly happened. TMZ obtained some blurry surveillance footage and Broadway Sports has a small snippet that shines little light on the situation. No punches appear to be thrown as individuals wrestled with one another.

Dupree will have to report for booking on the citation in three weeks. The Titans said in a statement that they “are aware of the situation and are gathering additional information.”
The incident is not a good look for Dupree, but it’s unlikely to jeopardize his play for the rest of the season. In his first year with the Titans, the former Wildcat can help Tennessee clinch the one-seed in the AFC with a win over the 4-12 Houston Texans this Sunday.
