Bush Hamdan is Finalizing a Contract with Kentucky
Bush Hamdan is on the verge of becoming Kentucky’s next offensive coordinator. The university isn’t quite ready to formally announce it, so we’re getting the next best thing.
Pete Thamel reports a three-year deal between Kentucky and Hamdan is being finalized today. Three years is the typical length of most assistant coach contracts.
We first learned from Thamel that Hamdan would be the guy for the job on Saturday. As was the case with wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts, it’s taking the University of Kentucky a little longer to dot the Ts and cross the Is and officially bring the welcoming party to the Joe Craft Football Training Facility.
Nevertheless, sources indicate that Hamdan is in Lexington and has already met with some of his future players. This reporter would be shocked if we did not receive a formal announcement on Thursday.
