Transfer decisions are being made as we inch close to the Christmas dead period that arrives next week. Another former Kentucky player is heading to another power conference school.

Caleb Redd ended his stay in the portal with a commitment to Kansas on Friday.

Caleb Redd played 12 defensive snaps for Kentucky this season and appeared in only two games. The former three-star recruit out of St. Louis (Mo.) DeSmet has four years of eligibility remaining. Redd picked Kentucky over Kansas State and USC during the recruiting process. The EDGE prospect recorded 27 sacks over his last two seasons of high school football.

The Midwest native was the first class of 2024 signee to leave the Kentucky program. Caleb Redd becomes the fifth Kentucky player to join another power conference program. Redd was one of three EDGE players to leave the Wildcats for the portal this offseason. Kentucky added USC transfer Sam Greene to help fill the room. The Wildcats are also hosting Kameron Olds (Kent State) and Chris Murray (Sam Houston) for official visits this weekend.
