Calipari: "This might be the toughest ticket that I've seen since I've been here"
Before the team flies to New York for the ninth running of the CBS Sports Classic, John Calipari held a press conference at Kentucky Basketball‘s practice facility to preview the trip and the game. Calipari spoke for about five minutes about what he has seen of the Bruins on tape and the physicality Mick Cronin’s club will bring to Madison Square Garden in the second game of the doubleheader.
“This will be a really hard game for us,” Calipari said in the five-minute conversation. “Like, it will be.”
Looking ahead to that challenge and playing on the big stage, Calipari said he is excited about the process and how preparing his team for a game like this “gets his juices flowing.”
He also expects a great atmosphere at the game because, as he put it, tickets are impossible to obtain.

“The tickets have been impossible,” he told reporters. “I mean, this might be the toughest ticket that I’ve seen since I’ve been here. and I’d probably have to look back; there may have been some others. But this ticket– like if I need two more tickets, well go on and buy them. There are no tickets.”
The game is not sold out
If you’re interested in attending Kentucky’s game versus UCLA in the Garden, tickets are still available because the game isn’t completely sold out. For 150 American dollars you can grab what’s available in the 200-level, or for 100 more you can get lower-level seats behind the basket. If you’re just wanting to get in the door and you aren’t afraid of heights, 300-level tickets are available on the resale market for under $100.
