Kentucky has a huge recruiting weekend that will begin on Friday. Key targets will be on campus for official visits. An important one made a big announcement on Thursday evening before making the trip north to Lexington.
Four-star cornerback Cameron Keys (6-0, 160) has cut his list of schools to four. An SEC battle is breaking out in the Florida panhandle.
Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Vanderbilt are finalists for the No. 279 ranked prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. UK will get Keys on campus for his first official visit before trips to Vanderbilt (June 16) and Missouri (June 23) are made over the next two weekends. Defensive backs coach Chris Collins is leading this recruitment for the Wildcats.

The Panama City (Fla.) A. Crawford Mosley rising senior received an offer from Kentucky on Feb. 21 and made the trip to Lexington for an unofficial visit on April 8. The Cats will now look to close on a prospect that runs track (sub-11 in the 100m) and recorded 11 passes defended (two interceptions, nine pass breakups) as a junior.
Cornerback isn’t a huge position of need for Kentucky in the 2024 cycle on paper. The Wildcats enter the 2023 season with eight cornerbacks on the roster and each has multiple years of eligibility remaining. However, we are in the transfer era and things can change quickly now in college football. Cornerback is a premium position and Keys appears to be one of the top targets on Kentucky’s board.
The Cats will look to close on the top-300 prospects this weekend.
