Kentucky target Cameron Miller decommits from Wisconsin
Kentucky is in the midst of losing wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts Jr. to Nebraska but that is not stopping current recruiting momentum. A top-500 target has emerged as a possibility for the Wildcats again.
The spatula has been engaged.
Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township wide receiver Cameron Miller decommitted from Wisconsin on Tuesday. Is Kentucky ready to add a fifth wideout prospect to the 2025 signing class?
The Wildcats are now the favorites to sign the wide receiver prospect on Wednesday. Cameron Miller is a true slot prospect who has been a long-time target for Kentucky. The high three-star recruit visited UK in the spring and loved what he saw.
“Last time when I went, it was a basketball game, so I didn’t really get to see much from the football aspect of everything,” Cameron Miller told KSR+. “I got in a little bit later because of flight issues, weather issues, etc. Just from talking to the coaches and watching practice films with coaches, I got to see a lot from the coaches’ point of view and the players interacting with other players and other coaches as well. It was great to see, honestly.”
“They’re very high on development. “When I say that, I mean it. They’re very high on development from special teams all the way down. They want everything done professionally. The big thing there is making the league. That was nice to see too.”

The prospect had an official visit locked in with Kentucky, but that did not occur following a May commitment to Wisconsin. However, the Badgers fired offensive coordinator Phil Longo during the season and are currently in the middle of a play-caller search. That opened the door for Kentucky to make a move.
Shorts was running point on this recruitment in the spring. It appears that enough work was done before he decided to move to Nebraska. Expect the unexpected in high school football recruiting.
