Carrington Valentine NFL Combine Results
Carrington Valentine was often a target in his first year as a starter. When he was targeted in 2022, he made opponents pay, deflecting 10 passes, picking off one in the end zone and recovering a fumble on the edge of the Wildcats’ top 30 defense. Even so, many were surprised when the Kentucky cornerback declared for the NFL Draft a year early. He showed doubters that he’s ready for the biggest stage in football at the NFL Combine, albeit in a limited capacity.
Friday afternoon Carrington Valentine produced a couple of eye-opening numbers. He posted a 39-inch vertical leap, which was tied for sixth among the first group of cornerbacks on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium. He also posted an above average broad jump, leaping 10-feet 8-inches.
The former Kentucky cornerback did not participate in the 40-yard dash or the on-field positional workouts. It’s unclear why he will wait until Pro Day before testing his sprinting skills. He officially measured at 6-feet tall, 193 pounds, with 32 1/4′ arms and 9 1/4″ hands.
Carrington Valentine was Ready to Take Game to the NFL
Carrington Valentine is among a deep group of cornerbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft class. As many as five cornerbacks could be selected in the first round. A position of need that’s highly valued among NFL front offices, an early run on cornerbacks picked could have Valentine go off the board on day two of the NFL Draft.

Prior to today’s testing, the former Wildcat shared why he felt he was ready to make the leap after starting for two years on Brad White’s defense.
“I felt like I wanted to guard the best people in the world. And that’s the National Football League it’s not college,” Valentine said. “That’s what really pushed my effort to do it. And I’m ready. I just feel like I’m ready to go out there and show that I’m not scared of anybody. I see everybody the same and I’m going to go out there and grind.”
