Cason Wallace to visit Kentucky on Aug. 26, decision coming Nov. 7
Kentucky is set to host one of the top uncommitted guards in the class of 2022 next week.
On3’s Gerry Hamilton is reporting that Cason Wallace will head to Lexington on Aug. 26, with official visits to Texas (Sept. 3) and Tennessee (Sept. 17) also confirmed. The five-star guard will choose between the Wildcats, Longhorns, and Volunteers on Nov. 7.
Wallace previously told KSR in July that an official visit to Kentucky was in the works for August.
The 6-foot-4 guard. out of Richardson, TX earned an offer from Kentucky after an impressive two-week display at Peach Jam. Wallace finished the event averaging 14.7 points (47.7% FG, 35% 3PT), 6.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest in 13 games, all while leading his ProSkills EYBL (TX) squad to an impressive 12-1 final record.
“That offer meant a lot to me. I’ve been looking forward to that offer for a while,” Wallace told KSR.
Wallace says the Kentucky coaching staff is intrigued with the idea of pairing him up alongside Skyy Clark in the backcourt, with the program also all-in on five-star shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe.
“They like that they already have a guard committed and I’m another guard that can come in and contribute,” Wallace added. “We would play good together.”

As for what he’s looking for in a school, Wallace tells KSR he wants an opportunity to shine early around people who feel like family.
“For me, it would be just a family atmosphere,” he said. “I want to go somewhere I can play early, often, and through mistakes, really.”
Wallace is considered the No. 8 overall prospect in On3’s latest recruiting rankings, good for No. 1 among combo guards in the class.
