Chin Coleman energized for March Madness at Kentucky; says Calipari "talks about March a ton"

If you’ve ever been around Chin Coleman or seen Chin Coleman on Kentucky’s sideline, you know he brings the energy. Coleman has a tireless personality and he isn’t the slightest bit worn down by the long college basketball season.
On Monday, Coleman was asked how he is holding up headed into March, to which he replied, “Me, as a coach? Oh, you see my energy, man. What kind of question is that? I’m ready to roll. You see me, I’m ready to roll. Only thing is, I can’t check in (to the game) but my energy would be ready.”
Coleman added, “7 in the morning, 6 in the morning; it don’t matter, I’m ready.”
As for Kentucky’s players, Coleman believes they will also be energized for a postseason run. Though some players have suffered injuries and others have played additional minutes because of those injuries, Coleman expects Calipari will have Kentucky ready to play three straight games in Tampa, if necessary, and six games in three weekends in the NCAA Tournament, if neccessary.
It’s what Calipari does.
“Our head coach, man, Coach Cal, he’s the best and he understands what it means to win and advance in this time of year,” Coleman explained. “He’s done it time and time again. So he’s going to manage us the way he best seems to manage us to make us the best team we need to be in March. He talks about March a ton.”
Coleman’s first season with Calipari, he admitted he is eager to learn from and witness Calipari’s greatness in March Madness.

He is eager to witness Big Blue Nation’s greatness, too.
Excited to see Playoff BBN
Though roadkill and Super Bowls have been good for experience, Coleman is ready to see how Big Blue Nation travels in March. Kentucky will see one more road environment at Florida in the regular season finale this coming Saturday, but from there the Wildcats will have the crowd majority in SEC and NCAA Tournament games.
“From what I heard, the great part about being here is Kentucky’s Big Blue Nation travels and so a lot of those neutral sites become home sites for Big Blue Nation,” Coleman said Monday. “So we expect to see Big Blue Nation out in full force because, obviously, the COVID situation is a little different now, and hopefully that’ll help us out.
“But we have experienced neutral sites, we’ve experienced hostile environments, and, hopefully, we’ll draw from those experiences and again, be prepared for whatever the challenge is.”
Kentucky has two more regular season challenges against Ole Miss on Senior Night and at Florida this Saturday. Then it’s off to Tampa to begin postseason play.
March is here.
