It sure does look like John Calipari is bringing two studs into the fold for next season’s Kentucky Wildcats.

Class of 2022 UK commits, Chris Livingston and Cason Wallace, were tabbed to the 2022 Jersey Mike’s Naismith High School All-America Boys Second Team, it was announced on Wednesday. They were two of 30 total high school players from across the country who made the All-American rosters. Both Livingston and Wallace are considered five-star recruits and top 10 prospects in their class.

Additionally, top 2023 Kentucky target DJ Wagner was named to the Third Team.

Joining the future Wildcats on the Second Team are three fellow five-stars from the class of 2022 in Gradey Dick (Kansas), Dillon Mitchell (Texas), and Jarace Walker (Houston). A trio of Duke commits — Kyle Filipowski, Dereck Lively II, and Dariq Whitehead — all made the First Team. One-time Kentucky recruits such as Keyonte George (Baylor), Jaden Bradley (Alabama), Adem Bona (UCLA), and Brandon Miller (Alabama) also made the various All-American teams.

There are plenty of uncommitted players on this list with plenty of Kentucky interest too, including Wagner, who is a five-star junior guard and one of the best in the nation regardless of class. Five-stars Ron Holland, Ian Jackson, and Mackenzie Mgbako are names to continue keeping an eye on moving forward, as well.

Earlier this week, Wallace was named to the 2022 USA Nike Hoop Summit Team where he will compete against international competition up in Portland throughout April. Unfortunately, his high school career came to a heartbreaking end on Tuesday night as his Richardson team fell in the Texas state tournament quarterfinals to McKinney in the closing seconds.

Livingston, on the other hand, still has plenty of time left in his high school career. Now at Oak Hill, he’ll participate in the upcoming 2022 GEICO Nationals, which features an absolutely loaded field of the country’s best players and programs where a national champion will be decided. The entire field for that tournament will be announced later in March.
