Let’s start our day with some news from our friends down I-64. A source tells our own Matt Jones that Louisville head coach Chris Mack has fired assistant coach Luke Murray, meaning that his father, Bill Murray, no longer has to be a Louisville fan. Our three-year nightmare is finally over.

Murray came to Louisville with Mack from Xavier in 2018 and has served as the program’s recruiting coordinator for the past three seasons. The Cards finished the 2021 season 13-7, 8-5 in ACC play, and were the first team out of the NCAA Tournament. Louisville made the tournament in Mack’s first season but lost in the first round to Minnesota.

Best of luck to Murray wherever he goes. Bill, you’ve shown us time and time again you enjoy the Bluegrass State, so feel free to come over to our side.
