Chris Oats meets Ray Lewis, his childhood hero
The stars aligned at Kroger Field Saturday night. Chris Oats met his childhood hero, Ray Lewis.
Oats starred for the Kentucky defense as a middle linebacker. That changed when he suffered a major stroke in the spring of 2020. Now rehabilitating, the Cincinnati native is working hard to regain his mobility.
Saturday night Oats and his family made the trip to Kroger Field to watch the Wildcats take on Missouri. On the sideline before kickoff he met his favorite middle linebacker, Hall of Famer Ray Lewis.
Oats was overjoyed, to say the least. Lewis, the father of UK wide receiver Rahsaan Lewis, shared some words of encouragement to help Oats get back on his feet. The young Wildcat might have shed a tear or two.
