The offseason waiting game continues. I’m starting to feel like Brian Fantana on Panda Watch for the Channel 4 News Team. Cincinnati has a new offensive coordinator and it is not Liam Coen.

Earlier this week Brian Callahan left his post alongside Zac Taylor to become the new Tennessee Titans head coach. As we told you then, Bengals QB coach Dan Pitcher was expected to be his replacement. Mike Brown didn’t mess around and got Pitcher the promotion. According to Ian Rapoport, Pitcher will remain with the Bengals to continue coaching Joe Burrow.

Pitcher was always the man for the job in Cincinnati. Could Coen be the man for the job in Tennessee?

As far as anyone can tell, there is no previously established relationship between Coen and Callahan. However, that is not a disqualifier. One strength of the new Titans’ head coach is “using college/previous team experience to help star players hit the ground running quickly.” Well, Coen fits those criteria for Will Levis.

We’ll get a better idea of what criteria Brian Callahan is looking for in his new offensive coordinator when he is officially introduced as the new Tennessee Titans head coach on Thursday afternoon at 2 pm EST. Until then, for Channel 4 News, this has been PANDA WATCH 2024.
