2023 five-star PF Omaha Biliew hoping to visit Kentucky in June
With in-person recruiting on the verge of picking back up, it’s no wonder why this week has been loaded with high school basketball talk.
On Thursday afternoon, it was reported by Eric Bossi of 247 Sports that class of 2023 five-star power forward Omaha Biliew is trying to set up a trip to Lexington for an unofficial visit to see Kentucky’s campus sometime in June.
Biliew is considered by both 247 Sports and Rivals as a top-six player in his class and the second-best power forward. He does not currently hold a scholarship offer from Kentucky, but contact is clearly picking up between the two sides. The Des Moines Register reported similar news on Wednesday that Biliew would try to visit Kentucky in June.
As of right now, Biliew has two unofficial visits in place and that is to see Nebraska on June 6 and Iowa State on June 16. Here’s what he told Bossi about the ‘Cats:

Kentucky: “I’ve talked to them here and there. It is picking up lately because the evaluation period is coming up and they are starting to check up on me and see how I am. I’ll try to visit them in June.” — 247 Sports.
A 6-foot-8, 200-pound sophomore out of Waukee Senior High School up in Iowa, Biliew recently led his team to a state championship win back in March. He’s already picked up offers from the likes of Kansas, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, and even Western Kentucky. Biliew told Bossi that Kentucky and Nebraska are the two recruiting him the hardest right now with Ohio State in the mix, as well.

Kentucky’s newest additions to the coaching staff, Orlando Antigua and Ron “Chin” Coleman, both recruited Biliew when they were coaching at Illinois and appear to be picking up right where they left off.
On the court, Biliew is built to play college basketball right now. His frame and physique are what stand out first but once you watch him play, you realize he’s so much more than a big body. Biliew knows how to use his size to his advantage and can finish near the rim with relative ease. He possesses an improving face-up game that extends to the perimeter and he also has impressive instincts on the defensive end. The NBA is likely in his future.
Check out some of his highlights below and be on the lookout for a Kentucky offer coming his way.
