Clemson transfer WR Troy Stellato currently visiting Kentucky
Kentucky’s search for wide receiver depth ahead of the 2025 season continues with another weekend visitor.
According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR+, Clemson transfer wide receiver Troy Stellato is currently on a visit with the Wildcats. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound redshirt junior is coming off a 2024 season that saw him record 25 catches for 264 yards and one touchdown over nine games played (five starts). Stellato will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
The Fort Lauderdale (FL) Cardinal Gibbons product is considered a Top 250 transfer prospect this offseason and a Top 50 wide receiver, per On3’s portal rankings. Michigan is also expressing interest and there are reports out that he’ll visit West Virginia on Sunday (weather permitting).
A four-star recruit out of high school, injuries have cut into Stellato’s college career, specifically his first two seasons with the Tigers. He played in just two games as a true freshman in 2021 before missing the entire 2022 campaign due to a torn ACL.

Stellato’s breakout season came as a redshirt sophomore in 2023 when he recorded 38 catches, 321 yards, and a touchdown. He caught four passes for 42 yards during Clemson’s Gator Bowl win against Kentucky in Dec. 2023. His 2024 season was also cut short due to hand surgery he underwent in November.
Oddly enough, Kentucky was actually the first college offer that Stellato received as a high school prospect, which he announced all the way back in Sept. 2018. He took a visit to Lexington around the same time. Following some staff changes, Kentucky even re-offered him in March 2019 and brought him to campus again later that June. UK made his Top 12 but didn’t crack the Top 6 once his stock began to soar.
The Wildcats have lost several wide receiver pieces to the portal so far this offseason, but have replaced some of that with the additions of JJ Hester (Oklahoma) and Kendrick Law (Alabama). UK is also recruiting pass-catchers such as David Pantelis (Yale), Kaedin Robinson (Appalachian State), and Tru Edwards (Lousiana Tech), and Cortez Thomas (Nevada). Edwards is expected to arrive in Lexington for a visit on Sunday.
