College Cheerleading Championship Previews
It’s ring season for the all-time winningest college cheerleading program in the country.
The University of Kentucky Cheerleading Team is seeking its 25th national championship at the 2021 UCA National Championships, scheduled for April 27-28th down in Orlando, FL.
After 2020’s third-place finish behind the University of Central Florida and the University of Alabama, the ‘Cats are back for revenge.

This will be head coach Ryan O’Connor’s debut with the ‘Cats at Nationals as head coach. She was with the team before as an athlete from 2008-09 and took over the position of head coach last summer in place of the fired Jomo Thompson.
Typically held in January in a completely in-person format, this year’s competition is being held both virtually and in-person, with Kentucky and fellow champions Morehead State opting for the in-person event.

Eastern Kentucky University opted for a virtual submission, and competed this past weekend.
All awards will be announced during the 27-28th, bringing together in-person competition and virtual submissions.
Kentucky will be competing at 2:04 p.m. on April 27th, with Morehead State slated for earlier in the day at 1:40 and 3:10.
