College Gameday has big plans for next weekend’s Big 12/SEC Challenge. Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, LaPhonso Ellis, and Seth Greenberg will start the day in Knoxville, where No. 9 Tennessee hosts No. 7 Texas. That game doesn’t start until 6 p.m., but the crew will preview it and the other action of the day in the one-hour live show starting at 11 a.m. on ESPN.

Once College Gameday wraps up, the crew will hop on their bus and head north on I-75 to Lexington for Kentucky vs. No. 2 Kansas, which tips off at 8 p.m. on ESPN. Assuming there are no delays, the crew will anchor halftime coverage of the Cats vs. the Jayhawks, ESPN’s Sonic Blockbuster primetime matchup.

College Gameday was in Lawrence last year for Kentucky vs. Kansas. The Cats’ 18-point victory in The Phog brought their record in Gameday games to 9-11, 4-7 on the road. Next Saturday won’t count towards that because the actual show is taking place in Knoxville, but let’s hope for the same result we had a year ago.

By the way, two-thirds of the Gameday crew is going with Kentucky today vs. Texas A&M. LaPhonso Ellis was the only analyst to pick the Aggies.
