Come get your Kentucky basketball jersey numbers and practice highlights!
Kentucky basketball will be playing games in Toronto for the 2023 GLOBL JAM in exactly two weeks. To do that, you need a competitive roster. John Calipari has built one of those, thanks to the program’s recent addition of West Virginia transfer Tre Mitchell and return of Antonio Reeves.
You also obviously need jerseys and jersey numbers to compete. And now, the Wildcats have those — the latter, at least. The Wildcats’ look representing the United States has not yet been released, but official jersey numbers have been.
It’s also a sign the 2023-24 roster is now complete, especially following Somto Cyril’s commitment to Kentucky as a member of the 2024 recruiting class. Barring a change of heart regarding a reclass for the four-star center or a can’t-miss grad transfer addition emerging in the next month or two, what you see is what you get.
As for the numbers, Mitchell will take over the No. 4 jersey previously worn by Daimion Collins, while Reeves will retain his No. 12. Then for the newcomers, Rob Dillingham will wear No. 0, followed by Justin Edwards with No. 1, Aaron Bradshaw with No. 2, Reed Sheppard with No. 15, Joey Hart with No. 20, DJ Wagner with No. 21 and Jordan Burks with No. 23.
The complete list of uniform numbers, now confirmed by UK:
- 0 – Rob Dillingham
- 1 – Justin Edwards
- 2 – Aaron Bradshaw
- 3 – Adou Thiero
- 4 – Tre Mitchell
- 12 – Antonio Reeves
- 13 – Grant Darbyshire
- 14 – Brennan Canada
- 15 – Reed Sheppard
- 20 – Joey Hart
- 21 – DJ Wagner
- 22 – Walker Horn
- 23 – Jordan Burks
- 25 – Kareem Watkins
- 33 – Ugonna Onyenso
Practice is officially underway with games right around the corner in Toronto, everyone but Bradshaw available among scholarship players on campus. Tre Mitchell is next, with sources telling KSR the West Virginia transfer is expected to arrive in Lexington this evening and join his teammates on the practice floor in the coming days.

Until then, we have our first official look at the upcoming Wildcats, a minute-long clip of practice footage from Wednesday shared by the program. It’s a highlight reel featuring buckets from just about everyone on the roster, including Reeves splashing a 3-pointer back in blue and white.
Take a look:
Some other practice scuttlebutt? Reed Sheppard has been a regular head-turner in live sessions, exceeding early expectations. Wagner has emerged as a clear alpha — shocker — while Edwards has taken pride in going the extra mile in the weight room while also living up to the hype on the floor, including spending some time at the four. Dillingham has been a joy to work with and has brought flair and excitement as a creator while also finding his footing away from the ball.
The Wildcats have been shorthanded in the frontcourt with Aaron Bradshaw undergoing foot surgery — optimism remains he’ll be back in time for the start of the regular season — while waiting for Mitchell’s arrival, leading to stalled development for Ugonna Onyenso. The hope is things ramp back up with the sophomore center in the coming weeks, especially with live game reps in Toronto against strong competition.
Elsewhere, Adou Thiero continues to grow physically and mentally — the confidence is there. And Reeves? Well, he’s still Antonio Reeves, the same player who earned SEC Sixth Man of the Year honors last season. That’s a huge help.
All in all, a very positive start to an important summer under John Calipari.
