Corey Peters Brings Depth to The Cardinals
You’ve got Randall Cobb rising to be one of the premier receivers in the game. Chris Matthews looking like the Super Bowl MVP. Bud Dupree and Big Z expected to contribute as rookies. Tim Masthay launching punts all over the nation. Somehow in the elite Kentucky players of professional football a guy like Corey Peters is often overlooked. With the Kentucky native now heading into his 6th year in the league it seems to me that Peters could be the poster boy for the elite talents of the Kentucky and Ohio region that if you come to Kentucky and put in work, you can make your NFL dreams into a reality.
After playing for the Atlanta Falcons since 2010, Peters will make his debut with the Arizona Cardinals tonight at 9. Peters has successfully rehabbed an achilles injury and is projected to be the starting nose tackle for the Cardinals. Arizona was somewhat the surprise of the NFL season last year as they bolted out to an 8-1 record before QB Carson Palmer tore his ACL. This year most of the pieces from that team are back and healthy including new additions like Peters. They could end up being another strong team in a loaded NFC.
The Cardinals face the Chiefs tonight at 9.
