Cornerback Cameron Keys Commits to Missouri
Kentucky did not get a surprise addition to the 2024 recruiting class on the Fourth of July. On Tuesday Cameron Keys announced his commitment to Missouri.
It’s the second time in the last four days a defensive back chose Missouri over Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Safety Cam Dooley did just that on Saturday.
Cameron Keys is a four-star cornerback from Panama City, Fla. He is a Top 30 player at his position and the No. 283 player overall in the 2024 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
Cameron Keys is the first four-star commitment in Eli Drinkwitz’s 2024 recruiting class. The Tigers are currently ranked last in the SEC on the recruiting trail this year. They also only have one win in their last eight games against Kentucky. People forget that.

Kentucky Locks Up Two Cornerback Commitments
Cameron Keys is a quality cornerback. It’s a solid recruiting win for Missouri. However, the Wildcats already pushed their chips in elsewhere at the position.
Jiquavious “Quavo” Marshall was the first to join the fold. A two-way athlete, his 6-foot-4 length fits the mold UK is looking for in its cornerbacks. Vince Marrow was all in on Terhyon Nichols from the get-go. He’s ranked slightly ahead of Keys in the On3 Industry Ranking as the country’s No. 28 cornerback. Nichols also attends Withrow High School, a nearby talent factory that’s coached by a group that sent multiple players to UK at their previous stop, Wayne High School (most notably, Ahmad Wagner).
Kentucky made calculated moves on the recruiting trail to solidify the secondary. Even though they did not get eventful news on the Fourth of July, Vince Marrow got to celebrate a few days early.
Watch Terhyon Nichols make his decision and hear a candid conversation with KSR as he explains why he ultimately picked UK.
