Kentucky Football Chief of Staff Dan Berezowitz has been suspended since his arrest in June on charges of fourth-degree assault stemming from a physical altercation with his wife. According to a new report, Berezowitz, one of the members of Mark Stoops’ original staff at Kentucky, will be let go at the end of the season.

Kentucky Football spokesman Tony Neely tells the Herald-Leader that Berezowitz was reassigned within the athletic department following a reorganization of roles. His position of Chief of Staff, which he has held since 2018, was eliminated. Berezowitz will remain in UK’s employment through November 29, although he currently has no responsibilities with the football team. Until the end of the season, he will perform “duties as assigned” by the department.

The assault charge against Berezowitz was dismissed two weeks ago; however, he remained suspended. His arrest was the second for the Kentucky Football program during the offseason. Former wide receivers coach Jovon Bouknight was arrested in May and charged with a DUI. He served a suspension and returned to work with the Wildcats this summer. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Bouknight was reassigned to the role of quality control analyst. Scott Woodward, formerly an offensive quality control assistant, was promoted to wide receivers coach.
