Dan Werner has NOT committed to UK
Normally someone not committing to a school is not newsworthy, but in the lazy summer months of internet rumors, it can be. Dan Werner (whose picture is not below, that is of course Indiana Philosophy professor Dan Werner, but we would like to have him as well) is currently making his decision and it has not yet been made. Dan did contact the University today but NO commitment has been made. According to his dad, who I spoke with, the internet rumors that a decision has been made are false and whatever decision is made likely will not be announced until early next week. Either way, no school has been informed of a commitment.
This whole scenario of having to announce that a commitment has not been made reminds me of the old Saturday Night Live joke about General Franciso Franco still being dead. In case you kids dont remember him, he was a fascist totalitarian leader who was (as Babu would say) "very bad Jerry...very bad." He did however photograph nicely.
