Dane Key scores in Kentucky debut; Ryan Lemond celebrates
It was a big night for Kentucky’s new guys, including Dane Key. The freshman wide receiver from Frederick Douglass had four catches for 53 yards in Kentucky’s 37-13 win over Miami (OH), including a one-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. He caught all four balls that came his way, including a 19-yard grab to take it to the Miami six-yard line on Kentucky’s first drive.

When asked about Key after the game, Mark Stoops said tonight’s performance backed up the high expectations the staff has for him this season.

Reed Sheppard shares childhood picture with Key
Among the excited fans tweeting about Key’s performance was another homestate hero, Reed Sheppard. The future basketball Cat shared this childhood picture of himself with the current football Cat following Key’s touchdown. The fact that Key’s wearing a Miami shirt makes it especially sweet.
Well done, Dane. Hopefully, we get a Ryan Lemond appearance on the postgame show.
