It was a big night for Kentucky’s new guys, including Dane Key. The freshman wide receiver from Frederick Douglass had four catches for 53 yards in Kentucky’s 37-13 win over Miami (OH), including a one-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Reed Sheppard shares childhood picture with Key

Among the excited fans tweeting about Key’s performance was another homestate hero, Reed Sheppard. The future basketball Cat shared this childhood picture of himself with the current football Cat following Key’s touchdown. The fact that Key’s wearing a Miami shirt makes it especially sweet.

Well done, Dane. Hopefully, we get a Ryan Lemond appearance on the postgame show.

UPDATE: We did.
