Kentucky offensive lineman Daniel Mincey enters transfer portal

The spring transfer portal window does not open until Wednesday, but the expectation was that news would start to slowly leak out before college football free agency officially begun in April. We knew that Kentucky would need some more roster attrition to get down to 85 scholarship players after losing 21 scholarship players to the portal in December.
Offensive lineman Daniel Mincey has joined defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert in the the portal.
The Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons product was the last addition to Kentucky’s 2024 high school recruiting class. The unranked recruit was the younger brother of Kentucky tackle Gerald Mincey. The Tennessee transfer was added to the roster last offseason. The younger Mincey played in just one game for Kentucky last season.
