Daniel Roberts wins silver in 110m hurdles

What a day for our former track Cats. Twenty minutes after Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone won gold and set a new world record in the 400m hurdles, fellow former Cat Daniel Roberts took silver in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.09, beating out Jamaica’s Rasheed Broadbell in a photo finish. Former Florida Gator Grant Holloway, Roberts’ rival going back to their days racing against each other in the SEC, won gold.

Roberts is a three-time U.S. Champion in the 110-meter hurdles (2019, 2022, 2023) and finished third in the event at the Olympic Team Trials behind Holloway and Freddie Crittenden, who finished sixth in today’s finals. At Kentucky, Roberts was a two-time NCAA silver medalist (60m hurdles and 110m hurdles – 2019) and the 110-meter hurdles champion in 2019.

Now, Roberts can add Olympic medalist to his resume.
